Autodesk Fusion 360 Faculty Development Program

The Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Autodesk Fusion 360 Faculty Development Program (FDP) on August 30, 2022. The program was conducted by Mr. Mohan Kumar from M/S MEDINI, in collaboration with Autodesk. Held in the CAED LAB, the FDP aimed to provide faculty members with an in-depth understanding of Fusion 360, a powerful 3D modeling and design software. Participants gained hands-on experience and practical knowledge to enhance their teaching methodologies and equip them with the latest industry-relevant skills.

Technical Talk 1

The Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) successfully organized the Seminar on Career Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering on November 17, 2022, at the CAD LAB. This highly anticipated program aimed to provide aspiring mechanical engineers with valuable insights and guidance regarding the various career paths available in their field of interest. The seminar featured an esteemed guest speaker, the Career Destiny Team, renowned for their expertise in career counseling and guidance. The team delivered an enlightening and engaging talk that captivated the audience and equipped them with essential knowledge and advice to navigate their career paths effectively.

Technical Talk 2

The Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully conducted the program "Career Prospects for Mechanical Engineers in Space & Defense Industry." The event took place on November 24, 2022, at the prestigious KVG Auditorium. Renowned Space System Engineer (Analytics), Mr. Dhanish Abdul Khader from SS Technology, delivered an insightful talk, enlightening participants about the exciting career opportunities in the space and defense industry. Attendees gained valuable insights into emerging trends, required skills, and the diverse roles available for mechanical engineers. The program aimed to equip aspiring engineers with the knowledge to excel in this dynamic field.

MECHNOVA

MEA and the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized the exciting program "MECHNOVA" on November 26, 2022, at the KVG Auditorium. The event featured engaging activities such as a quiz and 1-minute games, conducted by MEA members. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills in a fun and competitive environment. MECHNOVA aimed to promote learning, team spirit, and entertainment among mechanical engineering enthusiasts. The event was a great success, fostering camaraderie and enthusiasm within the mechanical engineering community.

Fresher’s day

SPARSH, the Fresher's Day event, is a momentous occasion that marks the welcoming of new students into the Mechanical Engineering Department at KVGCE. The event is scheduled to take place on December 8, 2022, at the prestigious KVGCE Auditorium.

Industrial Visit

The Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit to the TVS Motor Company's Mysore plant. On March 30, 2023, students had the opportunity to witness the TVS two-wheeler manufacturing process up close. The visit focused on the assembly of popular models such as TVS Apaches, TVS Jupiter, and other scooters. Participants gained valuable insights into the production techniques, quality control measures, and technological advancements employed by TVS Motor Company. This visit provided a unique learning experience for aspiring mechanical engineers, enhancing their understanding of the automotive industry.

Farwell to 2023 batch

The Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a heartfelt farewell party for the outgoing batch of B.E. Mechanical students. The event was organized by the junior students as a way to bid farewell and express their appreciation to the senior students. Taking place on May 27, 2023, at the KVG Seminar Hall, the farewell party included various activities, speeches, and memorable moments to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the graduating batch. It was a special occasion filled with nostalgia, laughter, and well wishes as the junior students wished their seniors success in their future endeavors.
