History and Features of the Department
- Started in the year 1986.
- Qualified and experienced faculty team with three doctorate degree holders, two staff members are pursuing their Ph.D and six M. Tech degree holders.
- Offers under graduate course in Mechanical Engineering.
- M. Tech course in Product Design and Manufacturing with an intake of 18 students.
- Recognized as research centre to offer Ph.D. and M.Sc. Engineering programmes.
- Separate departmental Library with more than 500 books.
- Mechanical Engineering Association MEA.
- Continuously organizes seminars and technical talks from eminent Professors & leading industrial personalities.
- Conducts state level technical paper presentation contest namely Dynamech for the students every year
- Conducts AICTE-ISTE sponsored national level STTP and other Programmes for faculty members and industrial personnel |

- Heat transfer and design lab.
- Machine shop.
- CAD/CAM Lab with latest software's such as Solid edge, Nastron, Unigraphics, Auto CAD, Master cam, Catia V5, with 40 IBM computers and LCD monitor.
- CAED lab for 1st year students.
- Metallography and Material testing lab.
- Fluid machinery lab.
- Product development centre.
