History and Features of the Department
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three year programme that focuses on both theoretical and practical application of computer technology in enabling the students to be knowledgeable in programming, analytical ability, networking, computational techniques, operating systems, multimedia communications, simulation, modeling etc.
The department was established in the year 1998 with an intake of 30 students. Later, the intake was increased to 45.
The department aims at providing excellent education based on knowledge, ability and self-confidence. It identifies and develops student's potential, constantly refining the learning processes to match the functional requirements of the corporate world.
The motto of department is to "Impart real education which enables the ward to stand on its own legs". |

- MCA Department has a blend of well qualified, experienced & highly dedicated faculty.
- Academic performance of the students is periodically monitored and reported to their parents.
- Student counseling and guidance is provided by the faculty to mould the students to move in the right direction.

Technical seminars & Workshops are regularly conducted by the eminent personalities from software industries.
Under Students Association 'SAMCA', weekly programs are conducted.

Training is provided in aptitude tests, group discussions and interviews.
TAP classes are also arranged for personality development, communication skills development, etc.
Most students have been recruited in well-known companies like Infosys, Wipro Technologies, DSL Software, TCS, etc. |
