K.V.G.E library is a resource centre for teaching, learning and research. Being the heart of the academic centre, it is home for all the information services. The institute has an up-to-date library which is completely automated using EASYLIB software. At present it has a collection of more than 54,000 volumes. Different sections are well established in an area of 1,300sq.mtrs. All the books are bar-coded and transactions of books are done through smart cards. The library subscribes to several National and International journals. In addition to this, the library also subscribes to more than 300 online journals under AICTE-INDEST consortium. The institute library is also an active member of DELNET.
The library has a good collection of CDs/DVDs and other learning resources in electronic form. There are separate sections for Management, M.C.A, and journals. It has other facilities such as Student Book Bank Scheme, SC/ST Book Bank facility, Reprographic & Printing facilities. Library working hours is 8.a.m to 8.p.m and extended till up to 11p.m during the time of examination.
A library is a collection of information, sources, resources and services organized for use, and maintained by a public body, an institution, or a private individual. In the more traditional sense, it means a collection of books.
Housed in the Ground Floor, left wing of the main block has a total collection of 50000 books pertaining to all branches of Engineering Management Science Students Project Reports, Back Volumes, Year Books, Rare Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias

225 reputed National & International Journals/Technical Magazines.
General Magazines and e-journals are provided
Library follows an open access system.
Books are classified and catalogued according to the Dewey Decimal classification and are arranged subject wise.
Has been fully computerized and is provided with EASY LIB Software, to facilitate the search for book.
Separate computer are provided(OPAC), using which student can easily locate titles, authors etc.
Internet connectivity and Bar-coding facilities are also incorporated.
Has an intensive Digital Library consisting around 1500 CD-ROMs, Floppies, Books CD's which can be viewed in the library as well as borrowed .
The college has entered into Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with DELNET services where student will have opportunity to access the Books from the reputed Libraries of the world through net. |
