Student activities

3 teams of MBA students participated in inter-collegiate Management Fests held at SIT-Mangalore, SDMCBM-Mangalore and HRIHE-Hassan during March 10-12, 2011.

As a part of MANASA personality development program , II Sem MBA students organized a documentary film show on  "Poisson on the platter" for the faculty and students of MBA  on 16^th March ,2011.

Students of MBA were taken to Cochin on an industry tour with faculty members Mrs Surekha I, Mrs Immaculate Mary and Mr Ramachandra M M during April 1-3, 2011.They also visited nearby tourist spots Eravikulam National park near Munnar and Athirapilly.

Prof Arvinda Kulkarni, Project Officer-SPFU, TEQIP, Bangalore addressed the MBA students and delivered a talk on "In search of turning point" in the Seminar Hall, Department of Management Studies 0n 11.4.2011.
 

Mr Pramod  Naik. Lecturer, Electrical& Electronics Department, KVGCE, addressed the MBA students on " Preparation for SSB Interviews " on 14.05.2011.

The valedictory function of MANASA was held on 20-05-2011. Sri Medappa P, Principal, K.V.G.I.P.S ,Sullia was the Chief Guest of the function. Toppers in academic exams were honored by the Principal. The final year MBA students were given farewell by the juniors. Management games were conducted .

Fourth Semester MBA students of 2010-11 batch have come out with cent percent results   in the recently held VTU Examinations. Among the 30 students appeared, eight students got First class with distinction , nineteen students cleared with first class.

Soft Skill training

Mr Krishnananda A , Asst Professor of MBA Department has conducted training programme for both UG &PG students from 24^th Sept 2010 onwards. 359 students have participated in the program on   "Positive attitude & motivation ".The training went for 38 hours.

Dr Vishnu Prasanna K N , Director-MBA Program delivered a invited talk on "Leadership gaps in Indian business" at National Conference on Best Practices , Strategic repositioning of the industries held at Srinivas Institute of Management Studies ,Mangalore on 8.4.11.

Mr Krishnananda A ,Asst Professor, Dept of MBA has presented a paper titled "An application of emotional Intelligence in organizations for effectiveness and transformation" in National seminar on Emerging trends in Management held at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangalore 0n 13-4-2011.

Seminar

Mrs Surekha I ,Asst Professor of MBA Department attended COSMAR- 10 held at IISC, Bangalore on 25^th -26^th Nov 2010.

Mrs Immaculate Mary and Ms Kumuda A V, lecturers of MBA dept attended 2 day staff development programme on "Modern approaches to Academic Research and Publications" held at A.J.Institute of Management on Jan 21^st & 22^nd, 2011.

Paper Presentation

Mrs Surekha I, Asst Professor of MBA Department presented a paper titled "Complaint management system: A Tool for  better governance " in the International Conference on Accounting & Finance at TAPMI , Manipal on March 11^th 2011.

Smt Surekha I, Asst Professsor  has won the Consolation Prize in ANVESHANA  2011-A  Research Paper  contest  for the paper "A cross sectional study of customer satisfaction among customer groups in retail banking " conducted by PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
